What are the active ingredients in your disinfectants and cleaners?

Our hospital-grade products are powered by G-cide, an award-winning, patented surfactant-modified biocide designed for broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. It is pH neutral and greater than 90% biodegradable within 72 hours.

Are your chemicals safe for use around food and livestock?

Yes. Our agricultural and food processing formulations comply with industry standards. Both our surface disinfectants and hand care range have been designed for use in areas with livestock, produce, or food contact surfaces. Safety data sheets (SDS) and dilution protocols are available upon request.

Are your products environmentally friendly or biodegradable?

Our formulations are greater than 90% biodegradable within 72 hours and are designed with environmental impact in mind.

What pathogens do your disinfectants kill?

There is no known microbial resistance to G-cide.
G-cide is effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi, molds, and spores, including enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, at a 0.2% concentration with a one-minute contact time.

Our active ingredient, G-cide, has been tested against pathogens like E. coli, Salmonella, Aspergillus, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium perfringens, Campylobacter, Egg Drop Syndrome, Gumboro, Adenovirus, Newcastle Disease, and Bird Flu, and reduces ammonia build-up to improve air quality and bird respiratory health.
G-cide works efficiently in the presence of blood, fat, and organic debris, making it ideal for slaughterhouses and meat processing plants.

G-cide is also effective against Penicillium, Alternaria, Geotrichum (Sour Rot), and Black Spot, destroying spore-forming pathogens in packhouses, cooling systems, and cold storage facilities, ensuring clean packhouses while reducing spoilage.

We can provide lab test data and efficacy claims upon request.

What products do you recommend for citrus packhouses and poultry farms?

For citrus, we recommend our pH neutral cleaners, specifically our SC0.5 cleaner and SC4% cleaner, which are an ideal combination for cleaning and sanitising.

We also recommend our non-corrosive wax cleaner, which removes waxes and residues from equipment and machinery, maintaining hygiene in production lines. This solution helps reduce bacteria buildup and fruit deterioration, while preventing aluminium scratches on machinery.

For poultry, we supply high-foam surface disinfectants with degreasing capabilities, as well as virucidal disinfectants targeting Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease.

Do you provide training and protocols for safe chemical handling on farms?

Yes. We offer onsite or virtual training, SDS documentation, and proper dilution protocols. Our team supports clients with customised cleaning Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for compliance and staff safety.

How does G-cide help maintain export compliance for agricultural products?

G-cide removes fungicide residues, such as TBZ, Prochloraz, and Imazalil, to acceptable maximum residue levels (MRLs), meeting strict EU import standards.

G-cide 10% and G-cide 20% are registered with the Department of Agriculture for ACT36-G36 of 1947 stock remedies and can be supplied with a free trade certificate.

G-cide complies with HACCP and Global GAP standards, ensuring citrus, wine, and other produce meet export standards while maintaining quality and safety.

Can G-cide be used in misting or fogging systems on farms?

Yes. G-cide is suitable for misting or fogging systems to control airborne pathogens in citrus packhouses, poultry farms, dairy facilities, and wineries, effectively reducing bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores without harming crops, livestock, or staff.

How does G-cide prevent biofilm formation in agricultural settings?

G-cide’s non-corrosive, pH neutral formula eliminates biofilms and prevents bacterial build-up in water systems, dump tanks, stainless steel tanks, oak barrels, pumps, hoses, and bottling lines, ensuring clean surfaces and reducing spoilage risks in citrus, dairy, poultry, and winery operations.

What support does Bawoma offer for integrating G-cide into existing farm hygiene protocols?

Bawoma provides onsite or virtual training, safety data sheets (SDS), and customised dilution protocols. Our team collaborates with clients to develop tailored Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, ensuring seamless integration into existing hygiene practices for enhanced compliance and efficiency.
